Not the day I had Planned

Did your day go as planned yesterday? Mine sure didn't!

I had high hopes of finishing the paint job on the front of our garage and sprucing up the landscaping around our short-term rental. With new photos pending, it's crucial to get everything looking perfect.

Plus, I'm in the process of turning the spacious garage into a fun game room, complete with a new ping pong table and more!

Here's why things went sideways: After dropping the kids off at school, I drove to the rental and was greeted by rain. It just wouldn't let up! I ended up shelving the outdoor work and focusing on programming and emails for Zeus Method inside.

During a break, I squeezed in a Max Muscle Bodybuilding workout and a quick 6-minute abs session:

30-Minute Workout:
  • 3 Sets x Max Reps: Standing Dumbbell Shoulder Press
  • 3 Sets x Max Reps: Alternating Dumbbell Bicep Curls
  • 3 Sets x Max Reps: Dumbbell Lateral Raises
  • 3 Sets x Max Reps: Dumbbell Tricep Kickbacks
  • 3 Sets x Max Reps: Dumbbell Front Raises
  • 3 Sets x Max Reps: Hammer Curls
6-Minute Abs Workout:
  • 30 Crunches
  • 40 Alternating Flutter Kicks
After working out, I did manage to fit in a biking session in the basement before picking up the kids from school. Despite the continuous rain, I ended the day with a 3-4 mile run during soccer practice once the sun finally showed up.

Even though I didn't get to touch the rental work, I kept busy and adapted to the changing day—just goes to show you can still achieve a lot even when plans fall through.

Later today I am looking forward to stepping out of my comfort zone at a local short-term rental meetup this afternoon. It's not easy for an introvert like me, but it's exciting! (people think it strange when they say I am an introvert, but in groups I sure am!)

Wish me luck, and remember, sometimes the unplanned days lead to unexpected accomplishments. Here's to making the most of whatever comes our way!

Warm regards,
Nick Urankar
